Kurobe Dam
Built on the Kurobe River, it is one of largest arched-dome type dam in Japan.
It is 186m high, 492 m long, and has a total storage capacity of approximately 200 million tons. It was completed in 1963.
Water is released for sightseeing from June 26 to October 15. There are also excursion ships on the man-made Kurobe Lake.
